Sheet Flooding State Standard Training Course (AZ SS4) (3.5 CECs)
Details:
The State Standard 4 training class will present floodplain management criteria for identification of, and development within, sheet flooding areas in Arizona. Different types of sheet flooding will be defined, and identifying characteristics will be given for each type. Flood hazards associated with sheet flooding also will be described, and floodplain management standards and suggested development criteria will be presented.

Clean Water Act Section 404 Permitting (3.5 CECs)
Details:
This training class will cover an overview presentation addressing the purpose of the CWA in the determination and administration of jurisdiction Waters of the United States, permit types, the application process, mitigation requirements, and how the 404 permit process affects floodplains. It will additionally provide guidance on the delineation of the Ordinary High Watermark, mitigation, and recent court cases.
