About this event
Tucson - Multi-Site GSI field Trip
The City of Tucson (City) and Pima County Regional Flood Control District (District) are Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI) leaders in the southwest, promoting and implementing projects throughout the City and County for decades. The City’s Storm to Shade program is one example of this leadership role. Storm to Shade (S2S) is the City’s Green Stormwater Infrastructure program. S2S installs new Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI) on public property throughout the City of Tucson and maintains new and (select) existing GSI. The District has long been responsible for County stormwater management and promotion of GSI. In 2020 the City and District created an IGA to collaboratively construct and maintain stormwater parks in City jurisdiction.
This field trip will include site visits to six (6) GSI project locations (5 City sites and 1 District/City site). At each site project overviews will be provided by the City or District GSI Team.
