AFMA River Management & Restoration Committee - Integrating Climate Change into Design Criteria

About this event

Engineering design for floodplain management has always been rooted in good science and exacting technical analysis and modeling.  The need for the inclusion of non-stationarity has grown to a level where it has become an imperative. Although technical analysis is still done at the highest level, turning that analysis into a lasting policy or engineering criteria has become a battle that is playing out in agencies around the world.

Join Michael McMahon in a lively discussion highlighting the need for fresh look at design criteria and the implications climate change has on their development. Mike has been working closely with agencies across the country who are focusing in on asset management vs. climate change. Join us as he discusses lessons learned and the developing story of best practices for the future of our industry and practice.

All attendees will receive one Continuing Education Credit.

This event will be virtual - A Teams Meeting invite will be provided on or before December 4th.
